Welcome.
I’m an author, educator, storyteller, husband, father, and lifelong learner who believes that every young person deserves the opportunity to build a future that’s right for them—not one chosen by someone else.
That belief inspired me to write Finally, My Choice.
For years, I’ve enjoyed helping people understand complicated topics by breaking them into simple, practical steps. Whether I’m researching family history, exploring historic places, interviewing fascinating people, or writing about life after high school, I’m driven by one simple idea:
Better questions lead to better decisions.
I’ve been married to my wonderful wife, Eileen, for 49 years, and together we’ve raised our daughter, Emily, whose accomplishments continue to make us incredibly proud. Family has always been my greatest motivation, and it reminds me why helping other families navigate important life decisions is so meaningful.
When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me exploring a historical site, recording a podcast, or asking someone about their family’s story.
Because every story teaches us something.
